Hi

I've just installed a software in order to use Broadband and it has screwed
up my system which was to be expected to a certain extent.

One of my problems is that I keep typing in my new password (start meun +
configuration panel + Internet Options + Connexions + Click on ISP +
parameters) which has 8 characters and after closing the windows, the
password changes.

When I reopen the windows , there are 16 asterisks and I have to do this
every time I want to surf.

Why won't Windows hold my password ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Dave,

Ignore the number of asterisks, that is by design to disguise the number of
characters in the password.

Not an answer to you question... but you seldom if ever need to install new
software to use broadband. Especially if you use WinXP. Some of the
customized browsers that come with the ISP software can junk up your
computer. Some allow features you may want such as anti-virus and/or
anti-spyware features but in my opinion it's not worth it.
