Windows XP keeps defaulting my Internet password to a 16
charactor unknown password which I have to delete each
time and enter my correct password. Even though I click
the save password box each time. How can I get it to
default to my correct password.

Xp will display passwords with the wrong number of character sysmbols, so as
to make it harder for someone looking over your shoulder to guess what the
passwords is. If you entered it correctly, doesn't matter that it "looks"
wrong it should still work fine.

No, it isn't doing that at all. When Windows displays a password,
it always displays the full 16 characters, regardless of how long
the password is. It does that so anyone who sees it on the screen
doesn't have a head start at guessing it by knowing how long it
is.
