Abarbarian, I got the fan VR sent me. IT IS HUGE.
I don't think it will fit my board, beacuse the board has this capacitor and this other black thing around the side of the cpu.
But I got a clip here, I am not so sure which one I am trying to use.
What one did you want a k8?
is that the same as a k7?
what is the difference?
How big is the fan and heatsink that you got there then?

The fan flops sent me is not the same as the one V_R sent you , different make entirely . I want a clip for a K8 socket it's bigger than a K7 clip . The Thermalight S1-97A that I have is not too big and it looks neat . I'm sure that it will be better than my Zallman if only I colud get a clip .. Guess I may end up making one but it won't be pretty

hi it didnt on first attempt
i was there for 10 mins no luck
It is HUGE!! I am still shocked at the size of it
there is only one clip that would fit around the socket a
didnt try the others though.
I am using my old fan at the moment
feels good to see 2.2ghz written that is the fastest machine ive ever had!
The board I got is brilliant
its a gigabyte pro board
lots of features
only drawbacks are no mounting holes are cpu and these big capacitors around the cpu socket that are preventing the installation of this fan.
