partition magic and x64

If I decide to upgrade to xp64, can I partition my hardrive and store files
there to access after the install of the 64 bit system? I am trying to
decide if I want to take a chance and upgrade. I have a 64 bit system, but
am worried about the compatability issues. Any advice would be appreciated!

The folks in the 64bit group might know, or you could try asking the
Partition Magic support folks.

I would, but the x64 thread wont let me post, and there is nothing to read in
it. I dont know if it is an error or what, but I thought I would try here.

What's the name of that group, do you know? I haven't been able to find one
in my list of newsgroups. Could be my news server or it could be I'm not
looking in the right place.

***dear sir, can you give a positive answer that PartitionMagic 8

run off its Floppys produced on a 32 bit machine,- will be safe

to use on win64 ? (like a laptop bought with win64
oem-installed ).

A lot of people have been skirting round this question.

i *have* used it to create a new partition at the spare end of the
HD ok,

but i Hesitate to use it to Resize the C:\ so far, in case of
damaging it.

many thanks :)

Ask Symantec tech support or in an x64 newsgroup:
