Paint shop Pro

Well based on a previous posters experience with Paint Shop on Vista, only
the latest version seems to show good compatibility the OS:

"PSP has only just become happy with Vista as version 12 (which they call
X2). And some of THAT marketing spin has rubbed off on the product, in that
good features have been spoilt by the people who took it over and don't
understand the value of features refined over many versions by enthusiastic
users and programmers. However Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 is much more
spritely than version X1 with some of the worst mistakes corrected (and a
few annoyances added). Join the news group
cnews.corel.com/corel.PaintShopProPhotoX2 for more. There is a group for
version XI but it is barely active now. Doug "

I could never get version 9 to work, but am running version 10 OK. (it's too
bad, I still like version 8 and 9 better)

9 runs great for me. Only caveat is that it kicks out of the Aero Glass. As
soon as you close however, it kicks it back in automatically. No other
problems noted.

Which platform or you running Vista 32 or 64 bit? If its 32 bit, make sure
you have the latest version of JAVA installed.

Hello.
I just received a new Notebook with Vista Home Premiun Edition on it.
I am wanting to load PSP8....I have been reading these posts but am still a
little confused. Is it SAFE to install on this notebook?

Safety should not be a concern. The only question should be whether or
not it works on Vista. And my experience is that PSP8 works just fine
under Vista.

It must be a full 32 bit application thats why it continues work well even
on Windows Vista.

I use PSP 6 and have for years. I just installed it in Vista Home
Basic. It works fine. The only annoyance is a window that pops up
every time I start it with the registry message referred to above. I
haven't tried to update the registry yet, but all I have to do is close
that pop-up window and get to work.

What message ?
