P4 2.6 GHz, Asus P4P800 deluxe, 2X256 DDR 400, 350W PSU.

I am thinking of getting Sapphire 9600 Pro Ultimate (no fan).

No noise is important to me. That is why I am thinking of getting
a card with no fan.

Is there any incompatibility between the card and the motherboard
that anyone is aware of?
This card comes with a big heat sink.
Will it fit?
Does anyone have this card, or have experience with it?
Is it any good?

9800 pro is over my budget now.

Thanks,

Navid

I have an Asus P4P800 (not deluxe) and have a Sapphire 9800 to which I
added the Zalman fanless cooler. (This is in essence the Pro
Ultimate.) There are no problems with clearence.

BTW, I also am using the Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu heatsink for my CPU.
Works great and is also very quiet when used with the fan mate.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot for your response.
Changing the CPU cooler to a quiet one is also on my list.
How did you pick that particular cooler?
Is there a benchmark table of different P4 coolers somewhere
on line that you can point me to?

I know there are different Zalman coolers. But, I don't know which
one cools better and which one is quieter etc.

Thanks,

Navid
