Outlook XP launches slooooowly

I bought a new a Windows XP machine with Outlook XP
installed on it. Straight out of the box, Outlook XP
starts slower than Outlook 2k on my Win 98 computer.

There are no error messages, just a turtle speed launch.

I have the latest updates & patches installed (maybe this
is the problem?).

Does anyone know why and a remedy?

Go to Tools>Options>Other and uncheck the "Enable Instant Messaging" box.
