Outlook Won't Start

M

Michael

I've just installed and purchased Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007. All of
the programs in Office work but Outlook does not start. I've never used it
and trying to launch it. It says, "A problem caused the program to stop
working correctly."

I've all the updates, and I am using Windows Vista Ultimate. Can anyone help
discern why Outlook cannot run or launch? I have this problem. I've
uninstalled Office Enterprise 2007 twice now and the same problem happens.
Again, all the other Office programs work great in the suite, but not
Outlook. Can't even get it to start.

Thank you!

Have you created your mail profile, added your accounts, and created your data
file?

I have the same problem, with an older Outlook version. I do not exact
verison because I cannot open it. But the problem started on May 1 right
after an update. I have not been able to find a solution. I send the error
report and try contact Microsoft but they gave a generic answer and no help.

Try a new mail profile using the Mail applet in Control Panel.

Does this happen even if you start Outlook in Safe Mode? (hold down CTRL
while you click the icon) See if this helps:

What about if you start Outlook with the /resetnavpane switch? See if this
helps - http://www.officeforlawyers.com/outlook/tsol.html#cls
