Outlook will not send emails from remote location - no error messa

I have a co-worker who uses a laptop from home and is using Outlook 2003 for
her email. At home over the last couple of days she has had a problem
sending emails. She is receiving emails fine but the outgoing ones get
stuck. No error messages are appearing. I've checked and all the setting
are as they should be. When she brings the laptop into the office Outlook
functions just fine, no problem sending or receiving. Any idea why it might
be getting hung up from home? It's worked fine for over a year up until this
past weekend.

Any feedback/suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Through what SMTP server is this user trying to send mail while at home? Does she authenticate in order to send?

The mail settings on the laptop are identical to the desktops we use in the
office. Yes she has to autheticate to send. As I said before it was working
for over a year with these settings now for the past few days she hasn't been
able to send while she is using the computer at home but once I had it in the
office it was working fine.

No error messages at all? Enable diagnostic logging and look at what's
happening during a send/receive.

Two things, how do I enable diagnostic logging and will I be able to recreate
the same scenario if the internet provider is different in the office than
the one at her home? I tried changing the smtp server to her internet
provider (Comcast) but that didn't help things at all either.

I enabled to logging, now I assume I need to send the laptop home with her
tonight to let it run so I can pull up exactly what is happening, right?

Correct.
