Sending emails in Outlook 2002 fail on server, Eudora doesn't

Overthe last couple of days Outlook has started to play up when sending
emails, receiving emails is working fine.

The first couple of emails I send may go through, then Outlook must add
something to subsequent email headers as any following emails are returned as
undeliverable from the server.

I downloaded and installed Eudora lite and had no problem sending emails.
So it is an Outlook (2002) related problem.

Has anyone had this problem and how is it resolved.

Sounds like a failure to authenticate to the outgoing server. Enable
logging in Outlook and examine the contents of the log for errors or post
the contents here.
