My outlook is crashing a lot on me lately. I will be doing simple tasks, and
then it just locks up and I end up getting the "not responding" error, and I
need to end the program via task manager and start it up again. Any way to
stop this from happening?

thanks

You might have some corrupt files or not enough resourse.
go to add/remove and remove out look. Then use scandisk,
after scan disk use your defrag to assort your files in
your hard drive. Now reboot, then install OutLook, this
might realy help, but follow in that order...good luck

If, as it seemed from your previous post, you have an IMAP account, make
sure that logging is turned off (Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced
Options...). There is a bug in the logging code in the Windows component
that Outlook uses to do IMAP.

Jeff -- the IMAP computer is not the same the one that is crashing. Any
other ideas? Does the previous post make sense?

Also -- I do not have my original Outlook discs. I assume that is the only
way to reinstall?

thanks

What version of Outlook do you have? What sort of account(s) on the
computer that is crashing?
