Outlook 2007 Task View Crashes

R

Romdryl

I have Outlook 2007 on a Windows Vista machine connected to a 2007 Exchange
server and caching is turned on.

Whenever I select Tasks from the left side navigation pane, Outlook crashes
every time. Oddly enough I can display and interact with all my Tasks via the
To-Do bar!

I use Tasks heavily and really want to get back to using the full Tasks view.

Incidentally, this happens on any computer that I log into running a similar
set up. this suggests it's my account, but what would cause it when the To-Do
bar works fine!?

Thanks,

Romdryl

Can you open it using Ctrl+4? If it also crashes, use the /cleanviews
switch as its probably a corrupt view.
If Ctrl+4 works but going through the button crashes, try the /resetnavpane
switch.

See http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/switches.htm for help with
switches.

Yay!

You rock Diane! The /cleanviews switch did the trick. Thanks. Thisone really
had me and our help desk running in circles. I'm going to pass this fix on to
them.

Cheers!
