Outlook 2007--tasks--crashing

First time poster, so please excuse me for the lack knowledge. I need help regarding outlook 2007. When ever I am in the task section, adding or marking off completed tasks for some reason outlook will crash. It stalls and the only way I can get rid of it is go to alt, ctrl delete and end the program. This happens everytime that I work in the task section. Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening. I like using the task section but can't anymore because of all the crashes.
