Outlook Hangs on Exit Splash Screen

New Ibm Laptop with windows 2000, Office 2003 and all os
and office updates installed. Boss did not like Office
2003 swo I unistalled Office 2003 and installed Office
2000. Now when you exit Outlook it hangs on the exit
slpash screen. Any Ideas.,... This has happended to me
on several different type of machines...not just the
laptop. only way I know how to get around is a total
system rebuild..

I found reference to this problem in the Microsoft
Knowledgebase. Take a look at
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesntclose.htm
to see if this might help. My problem we operate under a
Secect Agreement and knowone seems to know how we contact
Microsoft to download the hotfix.

If someone gets it downloaded please let us know so we
can share the results with the group.

Usually a MSKB article that explains a hotfix will tell you that you need to
call Microsoft Product Support Services and ask for that hotfix. That's the
only way you can get it; they won't provide a download site to the general
public. Check your MSKB article again and see if that's what it says. If
you call to ask ONLY for that one particular hotfix, Microsoft should not
charge you for the support call. And you should NOT distribute the hotfix
through a newsgroup or any other public venue once you get it.
