outlook express uninstalling

How do I get rid of OE? Everytime i try to uninstall or delete the folder, I
am told it is being uses by something else? I have also uninstalled windows
messenger. Thanx

But why uninstall it? If you are adamant, why not remove the taskbar
icon and leave everything else as is.

Thanks for the help, i tried the instructions, however, after renaming all
the files listed they reappeared all by themselves and i still can't delete
the OE folder and it still says it is in use by something else. I want the
room on the computer and do not want the program at all. thanx.

OE default folders recreate themselves automatically. In the Control
Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Components, there is the
option to remove it there.But an unused/empty OE program is only a
few MB's. If you need that space, you need a bigger HD.
