Program Will Not Uninstall

My ACER netbook has limited memory and speed. Deleting unused programs
helped. A preinstalled Office home and student program will not uninstall. I
get a message "language of this installation not supported by your system".
(("set up error") Is there a Registryproble? How do I get rid of this high
memory program?

It is unlikely that merely uninstalling a program will improve your
netbook (or any computer) memory and speed problems.

If the installed programs are not running, they only occupy hard disk
space - which may also be an issue for your netbook.

If you are unable to install the MS Office suite, Microsoft has an
article that may help:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=928218

If you still think you have problems or want to approach your original
issue in some other way, then do this:

To eliminate questions and guessing, please provide additional
information about your system.

Click Start, Run and in the box enter:

msinfo32

Click OK, and when the System Summary info appears, click Edit, Select
All, Copy and then paste the information back here.

There will be some personal information (like System Name and User
Name), and whatever appears to be private information to you, just
delete it from the pasted information.

Uninstalling programs will have no impact on memory or speed
There is a major difference between memory and disk space

Well - if the program was actually running at all times - uninstalling it
could increase usable memory and perhaps speed (since it would not be using
CPU cycles.)

Office what? 2003? 2007?

I doubt office is running at all times - all you would be freeing up is hard
drive (likely SOLID STATE, not DISK) space - not really helping your memory
or speed much - if any.

It was in reference to the app mentioned, Office

Deleting other programs did improve performance noticably. Defragging with my
current disc space is inefficient (I have 10% unused and 15%minimum is
recommended.) Forgetting whether or not program removal will accomplish
anything, my basic question remains, why can I not remove the Office and
Student 2007 preinstalled program?

Did the MS article I posted earlier not work?

Here is the summary info on my netbook. I really would like to remove the
trial Office and Student 2007 from it. You can see how limited it is. Because
of the message I get when trying to delete it, I worry I may have a problem.

1/1/10 Issue closed. Had to run down elements of Office and delete pieces
finally getting Office Home&Student 2007to uninstall/delete/remove.
