Outlook Express not displaying images in body

When forward an email which has an image in the body of the email to my
wife's niece who is using Outlook Express, she can see the text of the email
but does not see the image.

I had her click Options>Read and had her remove the checkmark in the "Read
all messages in plain text" and clicked Apply, clicked OK and closed Outlook
Express. She rebooted her computer (to be on safe side), launched Outlook
Express and accessed an email which has an image in the body - the image was
not being displayed.

Any suggestions???
