Expanding links and images in email body txt

I am puzzled by to be two very different means of display of images and
links in emails. The usual display mode for a link is a highlighted line of
text which if double-clicked opens IE and displays the link destination (for
the want of a term). Imges show in the email header as a list of files.

In some instances the link is expended in the email txt body and likwise the
images are displayed in all thier glory in the txt body.

Why pls?

OK thanks for the links. It would be interesting to know how to interogate
the email to find out how, if at all, it has been corrupted. What sort of
things happen?

Since this is not normal behavior, it is clear that the message has been
corrupted so I don't understand your question. The results are quite clear
as well. Test it again with the virus scanner cleaned completely from the
system and try again to determine if that indeed was your issue.

Another cause could be improper coding. This is often seen when the message
is coming from a web form.
