Outlook outlook express doesn't show GIF images

Hello there, can anyone please tell me why Outlook Express won't show gif images in my emails, it shows a placer (is that the right name) and will let me open them if they are also saved as attachements but it won't just show them in incoming emails ??

any help would be much appreciated as its really annoying not being able to see the pics I have been sent.

Hello angie,
Have you checked the outlook express security options, go to tools > options > security and uncheck "block images and other external content in html mail".
