Outlook Express 6.0

A friend cannot get or send e mails in OE. It is not a ISP, virus, or
spyware issue. I've been told an outgoing message is jammed in the outbox,
but none appears on the list. Have been switched by Microsoft support to
several people, put on hold for too long a time, been disconnected, etc. Any
suggestions? Running Win XP Home.

You could try posting in an Outlook Express newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.outlookexpress

You can delete the Outbox.dbx file to clear any corrupted messages that may
be there.

In Outlook Express select Tools/Options/Maintenance Tab. Click the Store
Folder button and you will see the path to all of the OE files. Write the
path down. Close OE, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Store Folder.
Locate and delete the Outbox.dbx file. Restart OE and the Outbox.dbx file
will be recreated.
