Outlook Express 6

My pc's os is Win XP Home with SP3.
I can receive text email. I can receive and open email with text and images.
I can send text email, but I can't send email that have images, ie family
pics. I have contacted bt on several occassions who do nothing more than
check my settings in OE, which are correct. On sending a message with image
content, I get the following message that reads something like >Your server
has unexpectedly terminated the connection. The possible causes could be
server/network problems or log periods of inactivity. Account
mail.btinternet.com server mail.btinternet.com error nimber 0x800CCC0F<
without the arrow heads.
All help to resolve this issue is appreciated in the extreme.

This has been an on-going issue now for a few weeks and is very frustrating
when this error pops up every time I send an email with graphics attached.

Thanks Alan for your response. I typed into the IE browser the first address
of the 3, but I think I am in need of further assistance. I don't have any
newsgroups setup in OE and am not so sure as to how I should do that. Please
advise

Don't type it in a browser. Click on it.

You're problem is e-mail scanning.

Turn off e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer
of protection that eats up CPUs, slows down sending and receiving, and
causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes
and has even been responsible for lose of messages. Your up-to-date A/V
program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more, see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Note that for some AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program
and reinstall in Custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option
arises.

The MS newsgroup is free, and OE should probably have set up the server
when you clicked the link. OE NG Setup HowTo:

http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/newsgroups101.mspx

But, to continue using the clunky web interface, click this link, or
copy/paste into the browser if it isn't clickable:

I don't know the way through the forums myself, but thought one of the
above links might help.
