Not sending!!

I am just trying to set up windows mail using my existing bt yahoo account. I
appears to be receiving email ok, but I could be wring but I wont send. Below
is the error message I keep getting

The connection to the server has failed. Subject '', Account:
'mail.btinternet.com', Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Please help, its doing my head in!!

you probably need to enable authentication...
Tools - Accounts - (youraccount) - Properties - Servers
check [x ] My outgoing server requires authentication
