Outlook Express hates me!

Hi, Using OE 6.0 and /WIN XP HOME w/ SP2 updated

I cannot use OE for email anymore for some reason. Error message is
long...but essentially states that the mail server shut down. Nope. I
go back to my ISP (AT&T.net) and using Internet Explorer, the server
has not shut down. I'm still online

I checked all my ettings and everything appears to be OK.

Any clues as to what and where to look at???
