Outlook Express is this safe to use

I was happy with Outlook Express, and when Windows live began it appeared to
me I had to use this, so I've been using this.

Then I had read OE was not safe anymore, I saw this post and I am wondering
if I could go back to OE.

I am an MSN customer I would use the mail there but they do not allow colors
for your email accounts like Live does or Hotmail did.

Although all development of OE ceased in June 2006, and while there will be
no improvements, it is and will be supported for security issues for as long
as XP is supported. April, 2010 for SP2, and April, 2014 if you are running
SP3.

I think I had read that at the Adaware help group or the tech who fixed my
computer told me that, it was somewhere, I don't post alot to help forums,
mostly here, I had all that trouble awhile ago with mail , so I had to go to
MS, MSN, Lavasoft to hear that kind of info. When I see it posted somewhere
again I will post and let you know source

OE is no more vulnerable than any other e-mail client. It all depends on
having a decent anti-virus program and firewall. Can't say many hackers care
about personal e-mail though.
