I hate to do this, but this forum seems to neglect older topics which
haven't been resolved, I'm guessing that the post date isn't refreshed
properly whenever someone makes a reply. Please take the below link
and expand the topic called broken activation, it should be the first
in the list:

To whom are you speaking? This is not a forum. This is a newsgroup and
you are using the awful web interface which is the reason you aren't
able to use this resource properly. You will get far more out of this
resource if you learn to use a newsreader. There are many good
newsreaders for Windows, but you can use Outlook Express since you
already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups to
broaden your posting pleasure!

This "forum" is the newsgroup called
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general. The reason you're having such
problems is that you are using the web interface to read this
newsgroup--it's the slowest, clunkiest, most error-prone method
there is, and that's why you have a hard time finding replies to
messages. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader, such as
Outlook Express, which comes with Windows.

If you'll take the time to look at the link that I posted and follow my instructions, you'll see the "problem" isn't the fact that I'm using the web-interface, the PROBLEM is that noone has replied with a solution that works. It shows all the replies, I haven't had even an attempt at help in 3 or 4 days.

Joe, this newsgroup gets over 1,000 new posts a day. I'm sorry you
haven't had a response, but most people aren't going to go chasing for
your original thread. Just repost the details here and we'll address
it. Make sure to include all pertinent information about the problem,
your computer, and what you've already done to troubleshoot.
