image.dll

The other day I started having a problem when I started up
my computer running Windows XP Professional. I started
getting an error box popup at startup that said:
Error Loading C:\Windows\image.dll The specified module
could not be found.

So I found the following web site

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/re
ader.mspx?
query=image.dll&dg=microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_supp
ort&cat=en-us-ms-winxp&lang=en&cr=US&pt=&catlist=B0DE109D-
10E1-4C3C-BCC9-8EB7A22FC6A0&dglist=&ptlist=

I used the error on reboot posted on 4/7/2004 and
downloaded a program called cwshredder.
i ran the program and it seemed to work but last night I
was using adobe photoshop and tried to save for web but
when i tried to save it gave me a msg that said it could
not complete this operation because an assertion has failed

im not sure but i think this is because of image.dll
could someone tell me what image.dll does and how i would
get it back

Image.dll is related to spyware. Removing it should not have affected
Adobe, but if you are concerned, do a System Restore to before you used
CWShredder. Now, your computer is still filled with spyware. Remove
spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from www.safer-networking.org and
Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to update these programs
before running them. These programs are free, so run them both since
they complement each other. It is best to run antivirus and spyware
removal tools in Safe Mode. In addition, be sure your antivirus is a
current version (not older than 2002) and its definitions are updated.
