I don't use outlook and I never have so I was nonplussed when I tried
to help a friend.
He had been using Outlook Express and "everything had disappeared". I
found that the only identity was the main identity but it had no
folders at all. There was an immediate avalanche of emails according
to the message line at the bottom of the screen but there was nowhere
to display them. To make matters worse the program window heading
said that it was OE supplied by Orange. I guess that was from another
ISP before my time.
I created an identity, let's call it John, and before long we received
3 emails. We could successfully send emails, too.
There seemed to be no way of recovering the 148 emails that the
message line told us were there in main identity. Has anybody any
ideas, please?
There is an issue with the ISP as well but that needs to be resolved
by the user.
