Outlook Delegation

I have a manager who has full delegate rights to view email for one of her
employees. Since she is a backup when this employee is gone, she has asked
if there is any way for her to see the "Sent" folder of the employee, which
will answer some questions at times about what has already been done. We use
Outlook 2007.

Is there a way to do this?

she can be given permission to view the sent folder then open the pother
mailbox as a secondary mailbox in the profile.

This is encouraging. I didn't think there was a way. Can you elaborate a
bit on your explanation of how to do it? I may need a bit more step by step
to understand it.
