Outlook, continually freezes for short intervals! Do'in mi edd in!

Whenever i start Outlook, it continually freezes every few mins for about a
min and a half. it works ok for a few moments again and then says 'Not
Responding' for another few mins. it does this for the whole time the program
is open. i have updated Outlook but this has made no difference at all.
All sugestions are welcome.

Try: Tools, Options, Other, uncheck the "Enable Person Names smart tag"
