E-mail will not receive in Outlook Express 6

My e-mail has not been able to download since 1/03/2007. It gets stuck
trying to download message 2 and churns away for a few hours before it
freezes and lists as "not responding". I have tried to remove all antivirus
buttons, etc., and I can not find my microsoft office cd's to try to
re-install. My question is if I re-install outlook express won't my server
still try to download the same stuck message? Is there not a simple button
to skip that e-mail message and go on to the next one...I do not care if I
have to delete it....

If you think it is simply one stuck message, then go and delete it on
the server. But it may be that your account information is incorrect or
corrupt; check you account settings.

the similarity of the name, is a completely different product than
