Outlook and Mail Merge

I am trying to send an email letter using Word (the Outlook message editor)
and mail merge. In the body of the letter is a link to a website. When I
send the letter, the link works. When my boss sends the letter, the link
doesn't work. However the link is active during the entire process of the
Mail Merge Wizard. When I send the letter from another computer, the link
works.

Please help.

Outlook version? Message format? (Compare with the other machine.) Is the link part of the letter text or coming from a merge field?
