Outlook 2007 "User Information" E-mail address problem

I have recently installed Outlook 2007 (as part of Office Standard 2007). I
use a POP3 account with Gmail to send e-mail messages from Outlook. I have
set up the E-Mail Account and everything works fine in sending and receiving
e-mails. The only strange thing is that anyone receiving an e-mail from me
sees my Gmail address in the From line of the message despite my having
defined my work e-mail address under User Information as the From address (as
well as putting my name in "Your Name"). In Outlook 2003 I did not have this
problem. Note, under "More settings" I have defined the reply address as my
work e-mail (not my Gmail account) and this works fine for anyone replying to
a message from me. Any ideas on how to fix this or why it is happening?

I don't have a Gmail address so I can't check, but could it be that Gmail
replaces the email address? See if you get the same results when you put in
the SMTP settings of your own ISP.
