Outlook 2007 file hyperlink issue

When I insert a file that resides on a network drive as a hyperlink and hover
over the link before sending the email, it shows the UNC path for the file.
However, when the recipient opens the email and tries to use the link, a
message is displayed stating the file could not be found. The recipient
replies to my email informing me of the error. When I hover over the link,
the path now shows my local drive mapping letter instead of the UNC path. At
some point after I click send, Outlook appears to be replacing the UNC path
in the link with a path that specifies my local drive mapping letter which
does not exist on the recipient's workstation.

Has anyone else run into this? File hyperlinks worked correctly (at least
for me) in Outlook XP.

Yes, our organization is having the exact same problem. I just posted
basically the same question before I saw this one.

Hyperlinks in Outlook 2003 did not behave this way either.
