Outlook 2007 does not shutdown properly... causes PST check on re-start

I am having repeated issues with Outlook 2007 (latest updates) not shutting
down correctly. When I close the application it appears to close OK... but
next time I open Outlook, it performs a file check or data consistency check
on the main PST files as it states Outlook did not shut down correctly last
time. I don't know why this is occurring. I am running Blackberry v4.3
desktop... so re-director does link into Outlook... and am afraid that my
data file will eventually become corrupt. Running on Vista Ultimate x64
(latest). Other than that... pretty clean setup.

ANY IDEAS as to how to fix? ...Grant

For me, uninstalling Google Desktop solved the problem.
