Outlook 2007 Spell Check Problem

T

The Edge

I have the Outlook settings set to "Ignore original text in reply or
forward." but every time spell check runs it checks the whole message body
instead of just the new parts. I have run a repair of Outlook, uninstalled &
re-installed but the situation still remains.

I am running Office Pro 2007 w/SP1 & Vista Ultimate 64-bit w/SP1 & SP2. I
have the same installation running on another desktop and a 32-bit
installation running on a notebook and both work correctly. I can't spot any
differences between the 3 installs but I would assume that there is something
in the registry that is not getting switched properly in the problem desktop
install.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is there no one else experiencing this situation? I am totally stumped by it
and could really use some help.

I'm also experiencing this problem, but have not had the time to look into it. I do have some macros that run whenever I reply or forward a message. I'm wondering if that has something to do with the spell checker not recognizing where in the reply to quit checking. I've also not gotten around to disabling those macros to test this theory. Do you, by any chance, have macros for reply/forward?.

Hi John,

Interesting to at least hear someone else is experiencing athe same
situation. I have no macros running but do run a number of third party
add-ins. I am just about to switch everything over to Windows 7 (32-bit &
64-bit) and will do so by clean installs. I hope that will solve the
situation as a clean Vista install probably would have. Thanks for response.
