Outlook 2007 closing unexpectedly

Outlook 2007 keep closing unexpectedly when I am simply trying to read my
e-mail and sometimes when I am not even doing anything. An Outlook icon
appears in the tray, but when I move my mouse pointer to it, it disappears.
Outlook will ALWAYS close if the reminders pop-up window appears and I try to
individually dismiss, or snooze a reminder. The only way I can get past the
pop-up reminders window, without Outlook closing, is to click on the X
(close) in the upper right corner of the Window. The problem of Outlook
closing with the reminders window has been going on since I first installed
the Office Suite over 1 year ago. The problem of Outlook closing at the
other times is a reasonably new issue; it started within the past couple of
months, before the issue of Vista and Office SP2's

If you've had problems from the initial installation, something is very
wrong.
No err msgs?
Have you run Office Diagnostics?
Have you tried starting Outlook using the safe switch (hold down crtl key
whilst starting Outlook) is the problem replicated?

No error messages.
I ran Office Diagnostics and it made one change - it installed a new Outlook
launch icon that uses OUTLOOK.EXE /recycle. It did make a difference, I was
able to snooze a reminder without Outlook closing. But, Outlook is still
closing unexpectedly when I am not doing anything.

I also checked the Event Viewer for the latest unexpected closing, the
following are the event details, which I don't understand at all:
