When Vista does boot without incident this is how long it customarily takes
my PC:

1. BIOS posting from power on (bios set to post all device handshaking)
50 seconds
2. Windows snaking progress bar (screen blacks out after 30 seconds)
30 seconds
3. Black monitor screen until the Win logon window opens
45 seconds

Total: 2 minutes + 5 seconds (125 seconds)

All input appreciated - thanks

Blithe
