Outlook 2003 & Vista Home

After purchasing a new laptop with Vista home, and loading Office XP 2003,
Outlook will not remember my password when you set up the email account, even
though I have checked the remember password. As soon as I exit Outlook and
then go back into Outlook and view the email account settings, the field for
password is blank. Any body know any solutions? Thanks.

Then you are not using Outlook 2003 but Outlook 2002/XP which is not
supported to run on Windows Vista. Only Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007.

In what other sphere of business would we put up with this constant "upgrade"
nonsense when we get NO additional functionality. Why are we all so keen to
upgrade??? Just because the supplier says we have to, where are market forces
and competition?

I don't recall anyone saying people "have to" to upgrade. Many computer
sellers will still install an older version of windows if you ask. I know
lots of folks who still use win 98 and office 97.
