Outlook 2003 - Merge pst folders and Share with home network

T

Tom Holser

Any suggestions on how to merge all of my Contacts and
Inbox files (I have 8 or 10 pst folders on my computer)
into ONE pst file!

In my clueless wisdom I seem to set up new pst files
anytime I re-load my Office programs, etc....and I end up
having pst folders all over the "map" in my computer!

I am using Windows XP Professional with Office 2003
Professional on a very old (1999) HP 8240 Pavillion
Desktop.

You can either use the import function under File or connect to the files by
using File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... and then move them by hand.

2GB for Outlook 2002 and below and unlimited for Outlook 2003; I wonder how
you get this full in "a short period of time". Backing up is another
concern.

I just wanted to issue a word of warning. There is a .pst file size limit
which is easily reachable in a very short period of time. It is recommended
and adviseable to maintain independent .pst files (which can also be located
on external drives) to ensure data integrity.
