Outlook 2003 crashes when set up to Hotmail email account

I have had my (paid) hotmail account setup to Outlook 2003 successfully for
some time. I am not sure if a file became corrupted during an update or what
but now Outlook crashes whenever the hotmail account is set up. I have tried
everything including downloading the 'connector' driver and it still crashes.
I can't find anything anywhere on this.

At what point does it crash?
What is being logged to the Event Viewer?

I am unable to access my account with outlook, the password box comes up, and
then when I try to enter the box re appears, I have gone round in several
circles on this one and been very frustrated.

I have a free account.

But until now had never had a problem.

But what crashes? Or do you mean with "crash" that you are being prompted to
put in your password over and over again?
