Outlook Connector resets default mail account

The Connector with Outlook 2003 insists on resetting my default mail account
to the 'connected' hotmail account. If I set the mail default account to my
preferred default (not hotmail), the connector will reset it again when I
next start up Outlook. Is this a known problem pls?

Not a known problem. Are you saying that when you click Tools>E-mail
Accounts>Next that the Hotmail account always shows as default even though
you've selected the other and clicked "Set as Default"? What type of account
is your other one? When you close Outlook after choosing the default account,
start Task Manager and look at the Processes tab. Do you see OUTLOOK.EXE as a
process?

Thanks Brian

Not quite; I can reset the default account to whatever I want. But when I
restart Outlook (and sometimes after sending), the default has been changed
to the hotmail account defined to the Connector.

Since it is not a known problem, I will check for Connector version
upgrades, apply any Outlook fixes and double check the Connector
configuration (not much to check!) before pursuing things further.

I have the same problem. Other posts on other sites as well. Outlook 2003 +
Outlook Connector is re-setting my hotmail account to the default mail
account every time I open Outlook. Any fixes please?

Does it for me too. Very annoying and don't know how to fix it. Am using
Connector 12.0.6423.1000 and Outlook 2003 version 11.5608.5606 on Windows XP
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.spsp_sp3_gdr.090804-1435: Service Pack 3
