Outlook 2003 Business Contact Manager: Manage Email Autolinking

This function does not pick up all the folders in multiple email accounts.
EG I have a hotmail account, a msn account and another hosted mail account
associated with a web page. All are set to deposit incoming mail into
Personal Folder Inbox. Only the latter does this. The others receive
incoming mail in their respective inboxes. Autolinking picks up emailin all
Inboxes, however some folders, e.g. Sent Mail, do not even appear in the
Autolink folder list. In the MSN account the only folder that appears is the
Inbox. Help

Hi Raul, thanks for the prompt response.

The hotmail and msn accounts are both mapi and work very well in all other
respects. The third account is with a web hoster and is a pop3/smtp account
and also works fine. The first two were set up with outlook connector. The
latter was set up via Tools, add account.

I have a lot of of personal folders I have created in the hotmail account.
Strangely all of these have been picked up but not the Sent Items folder.

I have run the auto linking feature several times.

Does help help?

Hi John

Can you try doing a repair of the Outlook connector and check i fit works
you might need the original installation source when you run the repaor for
the same

I have done Detect and Repair from the Outlook Help Menu, in fact I do that
on a regular basis. Is this the same as a Connector Repair? If not how do
you do the latter?

Whay do you think it might be an issue with Outlook Connector? The folders
exist in Outlook locally, they are local folders not remote folders accessed
by connector. They work perfectly well in all other respects. Just that BCM
Email Auto-linking fails to pick them up. There is nothing that suggests to
me that BCM autolinking uses Outlook Connector to do this - or am I miossing
something?

cheers

Hi John

You would have to perform a detect and repair of the Outlook connector from
add /remove program it might ask you for the original source of
installation. The reason as to why i recommned the above option was in some
senarios Outlook Connector did indeed cause the issue.

OK, just done that, no change. Cannot see the Sent Items folder in either
the hotmail or msn accounts and a bunch of local folders in the msn account
are missing, Only the Inbox is picked up.
