Oulook has stopped automatically displaying new mail received...

until I click on another old message or switch folders. I want new messages
recieved to display immediately. I am in Preview Pane view.
 
I have had the same problem, make sure if you are using WInXP that your
firewall is turned off, or you have to make an exception for Outlook (only
works in XP SP2). This is happening because the firewall is blocking a port
that Outlook uses to communicate with the Exchange server, and it's only
forced to open (I think) when you click on a folder to refresh it.
