Outlook messages open but don't display

My Outlook 2002 has suddenly decided to not display my messages or new
messages.The message is displayed in the Taskbar but not on the desktop.
I can close it by right clicking on the tab and selecting close but the
restore and maximize options don't function.
The message displays in the Preview pane allright but I'm unable to create
any new messages whilst this problem exists.
I tried repairing the Oulook 2002 installation but this did not make any
difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions why this has occurred and how to remedy it?
 
If anyone is interested the solution to this problem was my dual monitor
setup and that for some unknown reason my emails began opening on the second
monitor which I only use for Flight Simulation.
Dragged a message back to the main screen and all was fixed :-]
