Ordering Vista 64 bit

I have recently purchased vista home premium retail.
I have tried to get vista 64bit from the site with no success, it keeps on
telling me that there is no offer found.
What can i do other than call a premium rate number on top of paying extra
for the 64bit disc?

Yes that is the link i used. I tried it in IE7 and Firefox. I tried entering
serial key in capital letters, with dashes and without.

Thanks for the reply, but id still like to try it out since iv never used a
64bit system and seeing as im entitled to have one.

And microsoft wonder why so many people pirate their software. Their making
it so hard for me to get a legit version. I may just have to go trhough the
torrent route. IIv already got the full retail home premium version purchased
legally, it would be very un cost effective for me to order oem 64bit ..

Are you certain you bought a full retail disk and not a generic retail OEM
disk? The former qualifies for the exchange, the latter does not.

Was it in the full package box as pictured here:

Or did it come in a generic plastic wrap with cardboard or sleeve, a system
builder disk?

It came in the second box. The deep green home premium box. Unless the seller
bumped me off by putting in an oem disc in a retail box. Any way of finding
out if i have the oem or retail disc?

Hi Eric,

If the box was still sealed when you received, it's highly unlikely that the
disk was swapped. I asked only because I have seen the generic OEM being
mistaken for retail before. Apparently this is not the problem you are
having, sorry.

If you do not mind something with as much credibility as a thief.
Software downloaded from unauthorized sources can have potential
problems just like getting stolen goods may have it own downside.
And there is no place outside of Microsoft authorized to distribute
it.

Then it is probably genuine retail.
The box was sealed with the factory tape?

Right click Computer and click Properties.
Look at the bottom of the page.
If OEM, "OEM" will be in the Product ID.
If no "OEM", it should be retail.

Is windows Vista activated?
It may need to be.

There may be something wrong with the link, but I have not heard if
anyone else has tried it and I do not have that version available to
try.

How long have you been trying?
Perhaps tomorrow (Monday) afternoon Seattle time it may be resolved.

It does not say oem on it. I first activated it on install the first time,
via the internet. Then for some reason after i installed some new drivers it
said there was a hardware change and i had 3 days to reactivate it. I just
reactivated it there for the second time over the phone. I will try again on
Tuesday.

My guess is something is temporarily wrong with that link and
hopefully it will be fixed by the weekend.

Have you tried on another computer to verify if the problem still
happens?

Closed for today unfortunately.
Of course you should not have to pay.
See if you can get the tech to deal with you since it is probably a
website issue and not a Windows issue.
But of course do not pay, at least other than the cost for the media.

so i got impatient and clled them up today. They said there was something
wrong with the site atm, they should ahve at least put a message on the page.
Anyways at least its coming to me soon.

That is what I thought.
Of course you are right it would have been nice if there was some type
