Whenever I send a message with a large attachment (~3MB) Outlook 2003
always gives the following error message (no problem with messages
with small attachments or no attachments):
Task 'mail.comcast.net - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP)
server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
When I contacted my ISP (Comcast) their reply was that Comcast
customer service agents can only render assistance with Outlook
Express as a mail client.
About my system:
Version of Outlook: Outlook 2003
OS: Windows XP Professional
Virus protection: McAfee 8.0 (Disabling this does not solve the issue)
Internet connection: Cable modem
Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
