"The release of Opera 9 Preview 2 marks the start of a new tradition: The
Weekly Builds. Every week until the final version of Opera 9 is ready, we
intend to ship a weekly updated version of Opera 9 on this blog.

The goal is to further open up our development process to our devoted users
and allow you to be more involved at an earlier stage than when we ship the
next public beta.

The Weekly Builds are snapshots, they are not as thoroughly tested as a
Technology Preview or a Public Beta. You should only use these builds if
you are not afraid of losing data (e-mail, bookmarks, anything) or crashing
your computer."

I think this marks a new low in the history of the Browser Wars.

Yes, it goes to show the animosity is on the side of the Mozilla user
usually. I wonder if they have an inferiority complex...

Or just a poorly disguised troll, who doesn't care either way except to get
an Opera user to attack mozilla users.

Who cares? Firefox owns that poor excuse of a software that buggy Opera is.

What bugs do you mean? Could you be a little more precise, please.
I've used Opera since v.4 , including almost all betas and previes. I
haven't noticed any major bugs during the years.

For me it's not so much the bugs, although I have seen a few quirks. I
had trouble accessing gmail.com to check my gmail account after the
first try. First time it works fine, but any future tries give me blank
pages. something to do with cookies no doubt since when I delete the
cookies, then it works once more for one time. Also it has a favicon
bug of some sort. But what really turns me off is the lack of some much
needed features. One example is if you use email and newsgroups,
there's no settings or ways to compact the database periodically. So
if you do a lot of newsgroup reading, then you wind up with a massively
huge message base after a while that just keeps on growing, with no way
to reduce the size. Another problem is if you right click and cut and
paste an image from a web page into your email client. It pastes a huge
..bmp image when it ought to just paste a small .jpg like IE does. These
things and others make me think that Opera cuts too many corners trying
to remain light as possible. With a little thought and effort, they
could make it much more configurable and functional.
