We're proud to announce that Opera 9.00 Beta 2 is
available for download. This is the second and final beta before the
release of Opera 9.00. Notable in this release is a redesigned Widgets
user interface, along with a myriad of bug fixes.

The build released is the same as the most recent weekly build, so
there's no need to redownload if you already have build 8414 on
Windows, build 3385 on Mac, or build 284 on UNIX.

The best thing is that they finally integrated support for NTLM
authentification. Bravo.

Ivan.

1.4 Which Browser is the Fastest?
http://www.techsupportalert.com/issues/al_current.htm
I've long felt that Opera 9 and K-Meleon were the two fastest browsers
that I've used but this was purely subjective. At this site they put 24
Windows browsers to the test and the clear winner for speed is Opera.
Well behind are IE 6 and Firefox, who overall perform rather similarly.
Most of the browsers that use the IE shell such as Maxthon actually run
a little slower than IE itself. Interesting stuff.
