Opening adobe reader 6.0

When I open Adobe Reader 6.0, an installer opens and trys to install
Windows Journal viewer. Then it tells me that it could not find the package
to install.
 
Are you attempting to open Acrobat Reader or a PDF file *in* Acrobat Reader?
 
Hi, you need to install the journal viewer from the windows update page....
