Why not do what almost everyone else has...give on IE and switch to Firefox!
Once you try it, you'll never want to use IE again.

This did not fix it but I suspect it is a customized version that came
with my HP computer. How do I reinstall ie as was suggested in the
article on database?

Then re-think your question.
Did I claim 70% of Windows users?
I stated that 705 of those polled in the survey said they use Firefox.
I never said anything about Windows.
Perhaps you need reading lessons.
Bobby
Are you claiming that 70% of Windows users use Firefox? Dream on!

The real problem is the ATI-RADEON display driver. The browser works just as itshould in safe mode. I have sent a ticket to support but gave little or no hope for resolution. I may just give up on ATI, return the card, Get an Nvidia card, but of corse that loses the TV tuner which does not work well on most stations above Ch64. Acts as though it had a weak signal which is false as a real TV proves.Wesley said:Remove the ISP branding for Internet Explorer and Outlook Express

I solved it. The culprit was the YAHOO TOOLBAR. I had it disabled andMy computer has just started to do this also.
